ZimmerFrei is a group of artists founded in 2000 and based in Bologna (I) and Brussels.
It’s members are Anna de Manincor (1972), artist and videomaker, Anna Rispoli (1974), artist and performer, and Massimo Carozzi (1967), artist and sound designer.

The group works on the crossing of visual arts and performance, public spaces and private territories, using a wide range of media and formats including video and sound installation, short movie, photography, performance.
ZimmerFrei curated several group shows and residences for artists as ON, light Installations for public spaces (December 07 - January 08) in Bologna and Neverending Cinema/Cinema Infinito at the Galleria Civica of contemporary art in Trento (June - September 2006).

In 2005 ZF organized Sound Facts, first Italian forum for sound art (Museo della Musica, Bologna and Neon gallery).
With the curator Marco Altavilla organized the multidisciplinary events Space is the Place from 2002 to 2004. Its projects are often created with cooperative methods of work and with the engagement of volunteers we meet on site.

In 2008 ZimmerFrei was invited to the European Biennial Manifesta7 in Rovereto (I)
In 2005 EXTRA 51 produced Panorama_Venezia for the 51th Art Biennial of Venice.
In 2003 Anna de Manincor/ZimmerFrei has been invited to Dreams and Conflicts, 50th Art Biennial of Venice.
