Benedikt Hipp’s paintings, objects and installations are characterized by an intellectual and at the same time intriguing combination of different textures, formal languages ​​and materials. The interplay of seemingly contrasting pictorial means create fascinating, often enigmatic atmospheres. A recurring motif in his works is the human body, which the painter fragments or interrupts by abstract pictorial formulas.
