we would like to send you our best wishes for Happy Holidays and a Joyful New Year.

The well-wishing image chosen by MONITOR, The Temperance, was created by Portuguese artist  Daniel V. Melim, who began working with the gallery this year. It follows the example of Piedmontese Tarot of about 1830. 

Temperance is the fourteenth card of the Major Arcana of Tarot. It is usually represented by a female figure pouring water from one vessel to another and indicates an attitude of healing, reconciliation and regeneration.

 

MONITOR ROME
The gallery will be open on December 29th and 30th, 1-7 pm for the last two days of the exhibition ‘Il tempo regola l’atto’ with works by Thomas Braida and Elisa Montessori. Our offices will open again with the New Year on Tuesday January 5th.

MONITOR LISBON
The gallery will be closed from Thursday December 24th for the Christmas break.
The gallery will open again to the public on Tuesday January 5th with sete-estrelo Daniel V. Melim’s solo exhibition.
